Every student deserves a moment where learning feels like an adventure. The DAC x Earlybird Academy STEAM Enrichment Trio brings that moment to after-school programs, ELOP sites, and summer enrichment camps through three hands-on labs that are rigorous, fun, and easy for any staff member to run. From growing plants to making slime to decorating cookies — kids leave with real skills, real projects, and gear they’re proud to take home.
Summer STEAM Cookie Kit Exploring Culinary Chemistry & Edible Art

Where science, creativity, and sugar collide! The Summer STEAM Cookie Kit is a 60–90 minute hands-on experience that transforms students into real culinary chemists and edible architects. Using our “Easy-Prep” Master Pack system, every student decorates inside their own 2-in-1 To-Go Box — a built-in clean space that doubles as their take-home container. Disposable tablecloths cover every surface before the fun begins, so when the session ends, cleanup is as simple as rolling everything up and tossing it. No scrubbing, no soaking, no stress — and no kitchen required.
Students start by sketching an engineering-style blueprint of their cookie design, applying real concepts like symmetry, repeating patterns, and color theory before they ever touch the food. Then they mix custom icing colors inside a sealed zip-top bag — a mess-free chemistry lab where they observe physical changes, color mixing, and evaporation in real time. Once their precision piping bag is ready, they execute their blueprint and bring their edible architecture to life.
Every student is outfitted in their Divided Attention Baker’s Gear for the full experience — and when the session ends, they snap their To-Go Box shut and take everything home: their cookies, their gear, and a memory they’ll talk about for weeks.
A built-in QR reflection loop collects instant assessment data for your dashboard — and when students complete it, the whole class unlocks a free gift.
What’s Included Per Student: Frosted Cakery Sugar cookies, white base icing pouches, zip-top mixing bags, food coloring droppers, a Blueprint Worksheet, a To-Go Box, disposable tablecloth, and a Divided Attention Baker’s Outfit.

Build & Bloom: Ag-Tech Lab From Blueprint to Botany

Students don’t just learn about plants — they design, build, and grow one! The Build & Bloom: Ag-Tech Lab is a 60–90 minute experience that transforms students into agricultural technologists and designers. Using our Easy-Prep Master Pack system, everything is pre-sorted and ready to go. Disposable tablecloths cover every surface, and because the soil pucks are dehydrated until students add water themselves, there’s no loose dirt, no mess, and cleanup is as simple as rolling up the tablecloth and tossing it.
Students start by sketching a Botany Blueprint — planning both the aesthetic design of their planter pot and the spatial layout of their seeds before they touch a single marker or a drop of water. Then they use acrylic markers to bring their blueprints to life, customizing the outside of their nursery pot and personalizing their Divided Attention Sun Visor with their own artwork. Next comes the science: students add water to a dehydrated soil puck and watch it expand into nutrient-rich soil right before their eyes. They measure seed depth, follow their blueprint, plant their seeds, and snap on a clear humidity dome — their own personal mini-greenhouse to take home.
Every student leaves outfitted in their custom-decorated Sun Visor, planter in hand, ready to watch their seeds sprout at home. Thanks to the snap-on humidity dome, the soil stays locked in and completely spill-proof for the ride home — so the learning continues long after the session ends.
A built-in QR reflection loop collects instant assessment data for your dashboard — and when students complete it, the whole class unlocks a free gift.
Each Student Gets: A plastic nursery pot with snap-on humidity dome, dehydrated soil puck, seed packet, acrylic markers, a flexible tray, a Botany Blueprint Worksheet, disposable tablecloth, and a Divided Attention Sun Visor.

Stars & Stripes: Slime Lab Exploring STEAM Through Patriotic Polymer Creation

Get ready for a fireworks display of learning! The Stars & Stripes Slime Lab is a 60–90 minute hands-on chemistry experience that transforms students into patriotic polymer scientists. Using our “One-Cup Wonder” method, every student mixes, activates, and tests their own custom slime entirely within a single cup — no shared bowls, no cross-contamination, and no mess. Disposable tablecloths cover every surface, and when the session wraps up, cleanup takes about 60 seconds: roll up the tablecloths, toss the stirring sticks, and done.
Students start by planning their patriotic color recipe and predicting what will happen when the activator hits the glue — real scientific thinking before the chemistry even begins. Then they squeeze their liquid glue base into their One-Cup Wonder, add patriotic color drops and star confetti, and stir in their pre-portioned activator. As the liquid cross-links into a stretchy, solid mass right before their eyes, students observe and record the physical changes happening in real time. Once their slime is ready, they put it to the test — stretching, snapping, and bouncing it to explore the properties of a non-Newtonian fluid. To finish it off, students plant a mini American flag right in the center of their cup for a festive display.
Every student is suited up in their Divided Attention Lab Coat and Safety Glasses for the full scientist experience — and when the session ends, they snap the lid on their One-Cup Wonder and take their slime home, flag and all.
A built-in QR reflection loop collects instant assessment data for your dashboard — and when students complete it, the whole class unlocks a free gift.
Each Student Gets: A One-Cup Wonder mixing cup with lid, liquid glue (non-toxic), pre-portioned liquid activator, food coloring droppers, star confetti, a stirring stick, a mini American flag, an Observation Log, disposable tablecloth, and a Divided Attention Lab Coat.
